Search the sky like you would with your eyes, binoculars, or a telescope!
It’s ridiculously dynamic, you can see the constellations, the constellation’s art, different star cultures, you can see the major satellites around the Earth, nebulas, and more!
It starts with a “basic” set of stars to view, but going in to the configuration menu (by pressing F2), under the Tools tab you can download new catalogs and new stars to look at.
This is literally the best thing I’ve ever downloaded :D I recommend this to everybody. Go get it. Right now.
There’s an Einstein Cross out there somewhere, I just hope it’s in this software and I can find it :d
Other good programs include Celestia, and Space Engine. Both are available on their respective websites, or on SourceForge.

The ISS rushing across the Moon
This GIF animation shows the International Space Station passing across the face of a daytime Moon, captured by astrophotographer Alan Friedman on January 12, 2012 from his location in upstate New York. Alan captured these images at 10:30 a.m. EST and slowed down the animation a bit; in real-time the event lasted less than half a second. View a bigger version →
This isn’t even normal speed, guys. This is slowed down more than 2x.

My mum went to return it today and get a medium, but they didn’t have any, so she got this one instead :D

Check it out, I’m excited for this, but I’m not too sure what platforms they’re releasing on (apart from the iPad).

Astronauts drop a hammer and a feather on the moon to prove Galileo wasn’t lying to us.

i wish i could show this to every single person on earth. i want people to start getting the bigger picture, to give a shit about the significance of their existence.
if you can read this, you are significant. you are significant because it is statistically almost impossible that you even exist. love that.
